Hi!
My name is Laura Bustos. I was born in Duitama a small city in Boyacá, a region of Colombia known for its beautiful landscapes. I lived in Duitama with my parents for 18 years until my university career; I decided to move to Bogotá to study Business Administration at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana.
As I face this experience of living in a new city away from my family, in my free time I was in some groups of the university, among those; I was part of a volunteer for a year, where I discovered a great love of being volunteer, understanding the needs of others and wanting to contribute to others and in the world. This volunteer allowed me to know facets of me that I didn’t know before, allowed me to challenge myself and face many situations and learn a different way of seeing life from other perspectives.
In the University, I decided to make an exchange in order to improve my English. This experience allowed me to know a different culture, learn a new language, travel, but above all taught me that despite the cultural differences, interact with other people is essential so that anyone can feel comfortable anywhere and can make any situation bearable, so I can say that what made my experience more special was meeting people from different parts of the world with which I feel a great connection and I have an amazing friendship.
Those and other situations throughout my life have allowed me to know who I am, I consider myself an empathetic person, friendly person and sensitive person. I’m a committed person who likes challenges and learning new things. I love music; I discovered a great taste for cooking I love to try new recipes and new flavors. In my free time I like to share with my family and friends, watch series and exercise like bicycling and going to the gym. I love to travel, I think that if I could do something all the time, it would be to travel around the world and learn from different cultures.
