When we think of the month of December, we think of the food that accompanies all the tables of Colombian families.
In Colombia, there are characteristic dishes and desserts that are prepared at this time of year. The best known throughout the country are buñuelos and natilla. Every Christmas these two dishes are always present.
Depending on the region of Colombia where you are, you will find different dishes typical of the end of the year festivities. Among the main ones are: lechona, tamales, pork leg, roast turkey, empanadas, sancocho and ajiaco santafereño. As for desserts, we have the custard (Natilla), rice pudding, flakes and desamargado.
At this time of year, we should not worry about our weight, about the calories of food. We must only take advantage of these dishes that characterize us.
Many families gather to prepare the dishes that are shared in the novenas, on Christmas and year-end. No matter what dish and dessert you choose for your festivities, the most important thing is to prepare it with love and share it with all your loved ones.
¡Our New Year’s cuisine is delicious, but everything tastes better when you enjoy it with those you love the most!
